For my first observation I went to harmony elementary school in ms. edmund's second grade classroom. I mostly observed this time around and only interacted with the students when I was asked to help or when they approached me. when i did get to help, i would assist them on things like math, reading, writing, etc. ms. edmumds showed me a very calm yet strict teaching style. she was very good with the kids and she handled situations very well.
For my second observation I went to blue valley high school in mrs. kochuyt and ms. parrish's special ed classroom. This observation was a bit more interactive than the first one. i got to work with a lot of the kids one on one and got to see how each of them worked differently and how the teachers accommodated. FOR EXAMPLE ONE STUDENT WORKS FOR SHREDDING PAPER SO LETS SAY HE DOES TEN MINUTES OF WORK, THEN HE CAN DO FIVE MINUTES OF SHREDDING PAPER.
